While studying to become a teacher, I attended Michigan State University. After graduation, I moved to West Michigan, where I got a job teaching 1st grade. I have been teaching for 13 years, and my current assignment is 5th grade. While I teach ELA and math, I only flip my math class. I have been flipping for 4 years, and every year it looks a little bit different. I work in an at-risk school, where 78% of our population receives free/reduced lunch. The school I work in also has a large migrant & bilingual population.
