Time and the Flipped Classroom

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

How do students experience a flipped classroom, and how can teachers develop a flipped environment that fosters student learning? Using Carroll’s Model of School Learning as a framework for evaluating a Flipped Classroom, this session will explore the impact that a flipped model has on the overall degree of learning. Discussion of how the flipped classroom impacts different aspects of the Carrol model will provide participants with a deeper understanding of the underlying factors. Student perceptions of their experiences in a flipped classroom will be discussed, using their own words to highlight the impact on their overall learning experience. A new, student-centered framework for implementing and evaluating a flipped classroom will also be introduced as part of the session.
Although this session will focus on high school students, the information presented will be beneficial for all levels.
