So You Wanna Be a Flippin' Teacher...?

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Deciding to flip a classroom can seem very overwhelming at first and it’s hard to even know where to begin.

This presentation will help new flippers take the anxiety out of beginning a flipped classroom. Attendees will be provided with a checklist that outlines some steps to beginning a flipped classroom as well as some in-class activities that can be incorporated with the extra time! The checklist will act as a guide for the attendees to move to various activity stations around the room where they will learn about each component listed on the checklist. Not only will new flippers learn about taking the first steps towards transforming their classroom, but they get to experience what it’s like to be in an actual flipped classroom. They will participate as a student in the flipped classroom (engaged and actively learning) and also see the organized differentiation first-hand. They will be moving to each station at their own pace and according to their own needs. There will also be learning facilitators (experienced flippin’ teachers) available to answer and discuss the millions of questions that new flippers have!

Download the Verso App on the smart device you will be bringing to the session and join the “flipped class” with the code 8AWB6C

Some example activity stations will be (but not limited to); Accountability, Alternative/Informal Assessments, At Home vs Classtime, Initial Parent Contact, Genius Hour, Videos and Video Guides, etc!
