Meloney Cargill

Meloney Cargill has been a teacher of English and Japanese for 15 years. She has also served in the capacity of Assistant Principal at Clintondale High School for the past 5 years, where they have been recognized as the first school to create a Flipped high school. Their goal is to give every student an opportunity to succeed. Meloney has also presented at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), The Great Lakes Bay Leadership Academy, and the Michigan Flip Teacher Conference. Their school has also been featured on CNN, Bloomberg EDU, The Teaching Channel, Forbes Magazine, and others. She understands that that the most important tool in student learning is the teacher, and that the Flipped model of teaching is about providing that. Simply put, “it is not about the video”, it is about changing lives.

Meloney earned her BA at Michigan State University, and both her  Masters and  Education Specialist Degrees from Oakland University. Meloney has also been married for 18 years, and has a 12-year-old son. She enjoys reading and swimming, and is currently working hard to become an avid golfer.
