Randy Brown is in his 31st year of teaching, 22 years at the 5th grade level and now in his 9th year as a 3rd grade teacher. Randy is in his 3rd year using the flipped classroom model having created over 500 instructional videos in reading, writing, spelling, grammar and math. All of them are directly aligned with his school district’s curriculum. Randy received the 2013 Stanley O. McNaughton Golden Apple Award for Washington State, in large part due to working with the flipped classroom model. Most recently, he was chosen as one of the National School Boards of America (NSBA) "20 to Watch" throughout the country "for their ability to embrace innovative technology solutions that contribute to high-quality instruction and support more personalized learning experiences for students". Randy is very committed to helping others learn how to flip their classrooms.
